Prácticas de archivo: el fondo documental de arte correo del Centro de Arte Experimental Vigo

Abstract

El motivo de este artículo surge de la necesidad de reflexionar sobre la labor de catalogación de una parte sustancial del Archivo del Centro de Arte Experimental Vigo, el Fondo Documental de Arte Correo. Este trabajo se desarrolla en el marco de la Beca Creación otorgada por el Fondo Nacional de las Artes (2019), al Colectivo transdisciplinar de producción e investigación en Arte Correo para la organización de piezas documentales de artecorreístas argentinos que han mantenido comunicación con el artista platense Edgardo Antonio Vigo. En vistas de la sistematización de documental, se propone visibilizar el proceso de trabajo en torno a la clasificación de los tipos de documentos y de las estrategias comunicativas que fueron consideradas por el equipo de investigación para la preservación y difusión del material.

Thee reason for this article arises from the need to reflect on the work of cataloging a substantial part of the Vigo Experimental Art Center Archive: the Mail Art Documentary Fund. This work is carried out within the framework of the Creation Scholarship granted by the Fondo Nacional de las Artes (2019), to the transdisciplinary Collective of production and research in Mail Art for the organization of documentary pieces of Argentine art-creatures who have maintained communication with the platense artist Edgardo Antonio Vigo. In view of the systematization of documentary, it is proposed to make visible the work process around the classification of the types of documents and communication strategies that were considered by the research team for the preservation and dissemination of the material.
