Variación anual y semianual en el observatorio geomagnético de Pilar (Córdoba)

Abstract

Se estudian las variaciones anual y semianual de las componentes D, H y Z en el observatorio geomagnético de Pilar, Córdoba en el periodo correspondiente a los años 1941 a 1950. Se determinan amplitud y fase de las componentes espectrales comprendidas en la banda que abarca de 0,33 a 10 años de los promedios mensuales centrados al mediodía y a la medianoche de tiempo local. Se comprueba además el efecto del ciclo solar sobre las variaciones anual y semianual. Se considera si la teoría equinoccial es la más apropiada para la justificación de estas ondas.

The annual and semiannual variations of the geomagnetic field components D, H and Z at Pilar Observatory, Córdoba, wera. studied during the period between the years 1941 and 1950. The Amplitude and phase of the spectral componentes included in the band of 0,33 to 10 years were determined for monthly means centered at midday and at midnight of local time. We also verified the solar cycle effect over the annual and semiannual variations. We consider if the euinoctial hypothesis for justifying the presence of these waves is the most suitable one.
