Las formas de hacer política en la Universidad Nacional de La Plata

Abstract

El trabajo se inserta dentro de la historia política y de los intelectuales, partiendo de un estudio de caso perteneciente a la Universidad Nacional de La Plata, Argentina. El tema que se desarrolla es el intento por crear en el año 1974 una agrupación política denominada Unión de Docentes e Investigadores Reformistas (UDIR) de la citada Universidad. Mediante la obtención de testimonios de quienes fueron parte de un período de la historia argentina muy convulsionado, como lo fue el tercer gobierno peronista (1973-1976) y el apoyo de la información procedente de fuentes hemerográficas y bibliográficas, se reconstruyen los hechos que rodearon la fundación de la UDIR. Es así que se informa tanto de los antecedentes de la agrupación, como de los miembros que llevaron adelante la formación y su fracaso, este último, vinculado a las prácticas políticas imperantes, que dificultaban un desarrollo que no estuviera a tono con las mismas. El caso responde al interrogante sobre las formas de hacer política en períodos críticos, e ilustra sobre los matices existentes en las representaciones políticas universitarias.

The work is inserted into the political and intellectual history, based on a case study belonging to the National University of La Plata, Argentina. The theme that develops is the attempt to create a political group called the Union of Reform Teachers and Researchers (UDIR) of the aforementioned University in 1974. By obtaining testimonies of those who were part of a period of very convulsed Argentine history, such as the third Peronist government (1973-1976) and the support of information from hemerographic and bibliographic sources, the events surrounding the foundation of the UDIR were reconstructed. Thus, both the background of the group and the members who carried out the training and its failure are informed. This linked to the prevailing political practices that hindered a development that was not in tune with them. The case answers the question about the ways of doing politics in critical periods, and illustrates the nuances that exist in university political representations.
