Abstract

Según ciertos filósofos (J. Derrida, M. Blanchot, A. Kojève, etc.), la historia de la metafísica occidental es una historia del Libro. En este artículo quisiéramos mostrar que Cristo ha representado, a lo largo de la teología dogmática, la figura (el Libro último) en la que se que conjugan los dos libros de la tradición: el libro de la Revelación (Espíritu) y el libro de la Naturaleza (Carne). Por eso afirmaremos que Cristo es el tejedor de la historia occidental del Ser y a la vez del Ser de la historia occidental. Sin embargo, el tejido realizado por Cristo, el Ser en cuanto realidad histórica, la historia metafísica en cuanto tal, no es absolutamente homogéneo y continuo. Nuestro objetivo consistirá en mostrar que, junto a la operación de tejido efectuada por Cristo, es preciso distinguir también, como en filigrana, las fallas del tejido (en su doble sentido: como soporte y como cadena de signos), las rasgaduras que acechan al interior, que ya es un afuera, del libro. Y si Cristo designa la figura del costurero o el tejedor, el Anticristo representa la figura del rasgador o el perforador.

According to some philosophers (J. Derrida, M. Blanchot, A. Kojève, among others), the history of Western metaphysics constitutes the history of the Book. The aim of this paper is to demonstrate that, throughout dogmatic theology, Christ has represented the figure (the ultimate Book) upon which the two books of that tradition converge: the Book of Revelation (Spirit) and the Book of Nature (Flesh). Based on that, we will argue that Christ is the weaver of the Western history of the Being and, at the same time, of the Being in Western history. However, the fabric produced by Christ –that is, the Being in terms of historical reality and the metaphysic history as such– is not a totally homogeneous and uniform texture. We aim at demonstrating that it is important to define not only the weaving act performed by Christ, but also the defects in the fabric (understood both as medium and string of signs), rips and tears threatening the inside –which is also an outside– of the book. So, if Christ represents the weaver, Antichrist respresents the figure of the ripper or tearer.
