El yo y la bruma del enigma: aportes ético-políticos de Jean Laplanche

Abstract

Desde hace décadas, el pensamiento contemporáneo enfrenta el desafío de redefinir la idea de comunidad a partir de las nociones de vulnerabilidad e interdependencia mutua. Los recursos filosóficos empleados acuden al psicoanálisis con frecuencia para construir sus argumentos. Desde inicios del siglo XXI ha ido cobrando progresivamente protagonismo la propuesta de Jean Laplanche para dar cuenta de los enredos constitutivos entre el sujeto psíquico y el Otro. Como un aporte inicial al intento de consolidar una mirada ético-política que se aleja del carácter autónomo, libre y voluntarios del Sujeto moderno, este trabajo vuelve a las ideas de Laplanche en torno a los mensajes enigmáticos. Desde allí, destacamos que los intentos del Yo por dar cuenta narrativamente de sí mismo se topan, de manera rotunda, con un registro psíquico en el que habita una alteridad radical. Su carácter excesivo y abrumador derrumba todo intento de fagocitar al otro y significar la propia experiencia de forma coherente y totalizante.

For decades, contemporary thought has faced the challenge of redefining the idea of community based on the notions of vulnerability and mutual interdependence. The philosophical resources used often turn to psychoanalysis to build their arguments. Since the beginning of the 21st century, Jean Laplanche’s proposal to account for the constitutive entanglements between the psychic subject and the Other has progressively gained prominence. As an initial contribution to the attempt to consolidate an ethicalpolitical view that moves away from the autonomous, free and voluntary character of the modern Subject, this work returns to Laplanche’s ideas regarding enigmatic messages. From there, we emphasize that the attempts of the Self to give a narrative account of itself collide, emphatically, with a psychic register in which a radical otherness lives. Its excessive and overwhelming character collapses any attempt to engulf the other and signify one’s own experience in a coherent and totalizing way.
