La crítica política de Paul B. Preciado a Michel Foucault

Abstract

Este trabajo analiza las tres críticas que Paul B. Preciado le realiza a Michel Foucault, según las cuales el filósofo francés no habría comprendido la modificación epistémica luego de la Segunda Guerra Mundial y la constitución de una sociedad enmarcada en lo que llama “era farmacopornográfica”, que implica el desarrollo de una nueva modalidad de poder (sexopolítico) a partir de nuevas tecnologías de la existencia. Nuestra hipótesis sostendrá que, por el contrario, Foucault sí es consciente de esta transformación luego de 1945, sólo que su perspectiva política no es convergente con la de Preciado.

This paper analyses the three criticisms that Paul B. Preciado makes to Michel Foucault, according to which the French philosopher would not have understood the epistemic modification after the Second World War and the constitution of a society framed in what he calls the "pharmacopornographic era", which implies the development of a new modality of power (sexopolitical) based on new technologies of existence. Our hypothesis will argue that, on the contrary, Foucault is aware of this transformation after 1945, only that his political perspective is not convergent with that of Preciado.
