El cuerpo como exceso intestimoniable: poesía y figuras de la animalidad en “Las malas” de Camila Sosa Villada

Abstract

El presente trabajo propone una lectura de la novela Las malas (2019) de la escritora Camila Sosa Villada a partir de categorías nodales del pensamiento de Giorgio Agamben, haciendo especial hincapié en la noción de testimonio y su vinculación con la dimensión de lo viviente. Abrevando en algunas consideraciones de la filosofía de Judith Butler que exhiben una gran sintonía con la propuesta agambeniana, el trabajo se detiene especialmente en las metamorfosis animales de las que son objeto dos personajes de la novela. Se sugiere que estas figuras de la animalidad constituyen un esfuerzo poético que alegoriza la deshumanización que pesa sobre las personas trans-travestis, así como un intento de cercar un registro material-corporal que, al modo de una alteridad radical, no resulta plenamente integrable al lenguaje.

This study proposes a reading of the novel Las malas (2019) by the writer Camila Sosa Villada based on nodal categories of Giorgio Agamben’s thought, with special emphasis on the notion of testimony and its link with the dimension of the living. By drawing on some considerations of Judith Butler’s philosophy that exhibit a great harmony with Agamben’s proposal, the paper focuses especially on the animal metamorphoses to which two characters in the novel are submitted. It is suggested that these figures of animality constitute a poetic effort that allegorizes the dehumanization that weighs on trans-travestis people, as well as an attempt to delimit a material-corporeal register that, in the manner of a radical alterity, is not fully integrable into language.
