Psicoanálisis y ciencia: producción de saber, deseo y responsabilidad

Abstract

En El Seminario 11 (1964) Lacan interroga los fundamentos del psicoanálisis e intenta definirlos partiendo de su praxis. Diferencia ésta de las prácticas de la ciencia, la religión y la investigación. En esta línea, articula una reflexión epistemológica sobre la base de los planteos de Koyré y afirma que el sujeto contemporáneo sostiene la creencia religiosa de que hay La Ciencia, es decir, un saber unificado al cual se llega a través de métodos de investigación y validación homogéneos. Estos desarrollos lo llevan a ocuparse de la experiencia de la alquimia, en la cual se considera que la posición del operador y su deseo están implicados en los efectos que se producen, a diferencia de la ciencia que intenta reducir esa incidencia a cero. Es en este sentido que Lacan piensa al psicoanálisis cercano a la vieja alquimia, en tanto el analista es parte del cuadro que pinta y tiene que estar habitado por un deseo, ya sea para dirigir una cura, inventar un concepto o dar lugar a una transmisión. Partiendo de estos planteos, el presente trabajo se propone interrogar los modos que tienen la ciencia y el psicoanálisis de orientación lacaniana para producir saber y su relación con las nociones de deseo y responsabilidad.

In Seminar XI (1964) Lacan explores the foundation of a psychoanalysis and tries to define it on the basis of its praxis. He distinguishes it from the practice of science, religion and research. Along this line, interconnect epistemological considerations built upon Koyré’s expositions, and states that the contemporary subject holds the religious belief that there is Science; that is to say, a unified knowledge base obtained by means of homogeneous research and validation methods. These advances lead him to deal with the experience of alchemy, in which the position of the operator and their desire are considered to be involved in the effects that are produced, as opposed to science that attempts to reduce that incidence to zero. In this sense, Lacan considers that psychoanalysis is close to the old alchemy insomuch as the analyst is part of the painting being created and has to be inhabited by a desire, either to direct a cure, invent a concept or enable a transmission. Starting from this rationale, this work aims to examine the modes deployed by Lacanian-oriented psychoanalysis and science to produce knowledge and its relation with the notions of desire and responsibility.
