MalVinas: con “M” de Memoria, “V” de Verdad y en búsqueda de Justicia

Abstract

La conmemoración de los 40 años del conflicto bélico, paradójicamente, nos ha dado la oportunidad de dejar de asimilar el significante Malvinas con el de guerra. Alzar la mirada, analizar los 190 años de usurpación ilegal británica y salir del laberinto que nos dejó la dictadura militar con sus vaivenes diplomáticos internacionales que, por un lado, tomaron una causa justa en manos bastardas y, al mismo tiempo, cometieron otro crimen: romper con una política de Estado que estaba logrando que tarde o temprano, como un fruto maduro, las islas estuvieran bajo soberanía nacional. Las fechas y las efemérides se resignifican. Los pueblos hacen suyas las luchas populares y transforman acontecimientos y hechos que pudieron haber tenido sus contradicciones, pero que, asimismo, condensan las utopías que señalan el sendero de la emancipación. Con la propuesta de reconstruir y fortalecer la semana de la memoria se reflexiona en torno al lugar que ocupa la fecha del 2 de abril en la efeméride oficial, su relación con otros acontecimientos cercanos en tiempo y sentimiento, más la aceptación o no de esa jornada dentro de la memoria popular.

The commemoration of the 40th anniversary of the war, paradoxically, has given us the opportunity to stop assimilating the Malvinas signifier with that of war. Looking up, we analyze the 190 years of illegal British usurpation to get out of the labyrinth that the dictatorship left us with its international diplomatic swings. On one hand, they took a just cause into bastard hands and at the same time committed another crime of the military dictatorship, breaking with a state policy that was ensuring that sooner or later, the Islands would be under national sovereignty. Dates and anniversaries are resignified. People make popular struggles their own and transform events and facts that could have been contradictory, but that at the same time condense the utopias that point out the path of emancipation. With the proposal to rebuild and strengthen the Week of Memory, we reflect on the place April 2nd occupies in the official ephemeris, its relationship with other events close in time and sentiment, as well as the acceptance -or not- of that date in popular memory.
