Videos accesibles en la biblioteca: una experiencia sobre su producción, registro, acceso y preservación

Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo dar a conocer la experiencia de la Biblioteca de la Facultad de Arquitectura y Urbanismo de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata en relación a la producción de videos accesibles, su registro y acceso por parte estudiantes sordos. Se abordarán distintos instrumentos jurídicos nacionales e internacionales, así como estándares que deben considerarse en la producción de videos en formatos accesibles. Se describe el tipo documental video, las características que definen su accesibilidad y su importancia como recurso para el acceso a la información por parte de la comunidad sorda. La propuesta incluye un apartado sobre el rol de las bibliotecas universitarias argentinas y su importancia en la participación junto a otros sectores, para la producción de apoyos y la construcción de accesibilidad en la educación superior. La experiencia contó con la participación de distintos sectores de la Universidad: desde la Presidencia y la Dirección de Inclusión, Discapacidad y DDHH; y desde la unidad académica a través del Programa de Inclusión y Discapacidad, la biblioteca y los docentes del taller. De apoyo indirecto pero activo, la experiencia contó con la asistencia y el acompañamiento del Equipo de Trabajo Interbibliotecas sobre Accesibilidad de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata.

The objective of this work is to make known the experience of the Library of the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the National University of La Plata in relation to the production of accessible videos, their registration and access by deaf students. Different national and international legal instruments will be addressed, as well as standards that must be considered in the production of videos in accessible formats. The video documentary type is described, the characteristics that define its accessibility and its importance as a resource for access to information by the deaf community. The proposal includes a section on the role of Argentine academic libraries and their importance in the participation together with other sectors, for the production of supports and the construction of accessibility in the higher education. The experience had the participation of different sectors of the University: from the Presidency and the Inclusion, Disability and Human Rights Area; and from the school through the Inclusion and Disability Program, the library and the workshop teachers. With indirect but active support, the experience had the assistance and accompaniment of the Interlibrary Work Team on Accessibility of the National University of La Plata.
