Escalas interconectadas de movilidades

Abstract

Las relaciones entre el espacio escolar, las movilidades y las apropiacio-nes generan modos de habitar de los sujetos. En esas conjunciones se reconocen significaciones que consolidan un tipo de producción social del espacio. Múltiples procesos materiales y prácticas generan formas de circulación permitidas y otras restringidas. A partir de estas apreciaciones, problematizamos que el habitar requiere moverse de un lugar hacia otro y que los lugares se construyen a partir de los movimientos que hacen las personas y que también construyen un paisaje de tareas. Aquí presentamos los avances de investigación realizados en una escuela secundaria de educación agraria de La Plata. Durante el trabajo de campo hallamos dos ejes para iniciar estas reflexiones. Uno de ellos consistió en la dependencia del transporte público que tienen les estudiantes para llegar a la escuela y la organización de las temporalidades institucionales de acuerdo con las frecuencias de los colectivos; el otro estuvo en focalizar en las movilidades que gestionan la cotidianidad institucional y cómo así se configuran formas de habitar el espacio escolar. Como conclusiones provisorias, sostenemos que la comprensión de las escalas de movilidades y los movimientos incrustados explican los modos de habitar heterogéneos y específicos relevados en esta institución.

The relationships between school space, mobilities and appropriations generate ways of living for the subjects. In these conjunctions, meanings are recognized that consolidate a type of social production of space. Multiple material processes and practices generate permitted and restricted forms of circulation. From these insights, we problematize that living requires moving from one place to another and that places are built from the movements that people make and that also build a landscape of tasks. Here we present the research advances carried out in a secondary school of agricultural education in La Plata. During the field work we found two axes to begin these reflections. One of them consisted of the students’ dependence on public transportation to get to school and the organization of institutional temporalities according to the frequencies of the buses; the other was to focus on the mobilities that manage institutional daily life and how ways of inhabiting the school space are configured. As provisional conclusions, we maintain that the understanding of the scales of mobilities and embedded movements explain the heterogeneous and specific ways of living revealed in this institution.
