Suturar la tierra en el Antropoceno: ciencia, arte, educación y territorio

Abstract

En este artículo se presentan acciones artístico-educativas, que entrelazan el conocimiento científico, los lenguajes estéticos del arte y las subjetividades, para promover la reflexión sobre el vínculo sociedad-naturaleza y para repensar, de manera particular, la conexión entre conceptos globalizantes como el Antropoceno y nuestras prácticas cotidianas de alimentación. La experiencia fue llevada a cabo con estudiantes de grado de la Universidad de Buenos Aires (Argentina) en el marco del proyecto de extensión universitaria «Suturar la tierra» (2020-2021). Se sostiene que la inclusión del arte propicia un aprendizaje experimental, sensible y situado que permite construir nuevos sentidos para abordar los problemas ambientales que atravesamos en la actualidad.

This article presents artistic-educational actions, that intertwine scientific knowledge, the aesthetic languages of art and subjectivities, to promote the reflection on the society-nature link and to rethink, in a particular way, the connection between globalizing concepts such as the Anthropocene and our daily eating practices. The experience was carried out with undergraduate students from the University of Buenos Aires (Argentina) within the framework of the university extension project «Suturing the Earth» (2020-2021). This argued that the inclusion of art fosters experimental, sensitive and situated learning that allows for the construction of new meanings to address the environmental problems that we are currently experiencing.
