Discurso y legitimidad: la Doctrina de Seguridad Nacional como argumento legitimatorio del Golpe de Estado de 1973 en Chile

Abstract

El objetivo central del trabajo es exponer la estrecha relación que existe entre los fundamentos de la Doctrina de Seguridad Nacional, el Golpe de Estado en Chile de 1973 y las posteriores acciones de fuerza y represión llevada adelante por los militares una vez instalados en el poder. En ese sentido, determinados elementos de la Doctrina de Seguridad Nacional fueron utilizados como argumentos para legitimar la intervención y posterior acción militar del 11 de septiembre de 1973.

The main goal of this article is to present the tight relationship between the foundations of the Doctrine of National Security and the Chilean Coup d'état of 1973, along with the further use of force and repressive practices by military once in power. In that sense, some elements of the Doctrine of National Security were used as arguments to legitimize the intervention and further military action of the 11th of September of 1973.
