Triunfo y derrota de un proyecto

Abstract

En «Triunfo y derrota de la comunicación » (2008) Héctor Schmucler ajustaba cuentas con el devenir del campo comunicación/cultura y se preguntaba cuánto hay de específicamente latinoamericano en las aproximaciones conceptuales que se consagraron en el saber de comunicación y cultura. En este artículo, la pregunta es qué supone hoy un proyecto de comunicación/cultura y se apuntan tres posibles ejes problemáticos: en primer lugar, que la concepción instrumental de los medios no ha sido superada en la práctica; en segundo lugar, que los «efectos» del relativismo cultural adquieren nuevas máscaras; por último, que el análisis ideológico de los medios adquiere nuevas funciones en esta etapa.
