<i>Leerse a sí mismo</i>: hermenéutica, política y retórica en Thomas Hobbes

Abstract

El reconocimiento del conflicto como realidad constitutiva de lo humano y la necesidad de un cierre que pasa por la fijación de la palabra justa encuentran en Hobbes su primera formulación. El pasaje de la instancia retórico-interpretativa a la axiomático-científica se da en <i>Leviatan</i> a través de tres momentos: introspectivo, contractual, estadual; su despliegue permite reconocer a la hermenéutica como resorte imprescindible para la implantación de un orden político fundado en la articulación entre <i>ser</i> (una antropología), <i>decir</i> (una retórica) y <i>actuar</i> (una praxis). El intérprete resulta así un operador clave en el ajuste de las instancias natural y político-social.

The identification of conflict as a constitutive element of the human, and the need for a closure involving the need for the right word, find in Hobbes their first formulation. The passage from the rhetorical-interpretive to the scientific-axiomatic appears in <i>Leviathan</i> in three moments (introspection, contract, state). The unfolding of these moments shows Hermeneutics as a necessary tool for the implantation of a political order founded on the articulation of <i>being</i> (an anthropology), <i>saying</i> (a rhetoric) and <i>acting</i> (a praxis). The interpreter thus turns out to be a key operator in bringing together the natural and the sociopolitical.
