La configuración de la crónica periodística de Tomás Eloy Martínez como relato histórico de la dictadura en la Argentina

Abstract

El periodismo construye la historia cada día y para ello apela a géneros como la crónica. Este género es la forma original de concebir un trabajo histórico en el sentido de que se trata de la acción más elemental para explicar lo que ha sucedido. La crónica sale de sus fronteras y pretende configurar la realidad en base a una mixtura entre literatura y la narrativa histórica con la narrativa periodística. En este híbrido se articula un relato nuevo, un relato que busca rescatar la memoria con herramientas propias del campo de la ficción literaria. A la luz de esta perspectiva analizamos la forma en que este género ha tratado la dictadura en la Argentina. Para ello abordamos dos crónicas de Tomás Eloy Martínez. El recorrido que trazamos va desde el análisis de los secuestros de bebés y un retrato de la figura del dictador Videla y pasa por el testimonio de las víctimas. A partir de este mosaico de historias pretendemos destacar la forma en que la crónica configura un exhaustivo y relevante relato histórico y, sobre todo, la manera en que este género es capaz de preservar la memoria de las víctimas.

Journalism builds the story every day and this appeals to genres such as the Chronicle. This genus is the original form of conceiving a historical work in the sense that it's the most basic action to explain what has happened. The story out of its borders and aims to set up the reality based on a mixture between literature and the historical narrative with the journalistic narrative. This hybrid articulates a new story, a story that seeks to rescue the memory with tools of the field of literary fiction. In light of this perspective, we look at the way in which this genre has treated the Argentina dictatorshi: this approach two Chronicles of Tomás Eloy Martínez. The route that we draw ranges from the analysis of infant abductions and a portrait of the figure of the dictator Videla and passes through the testimony of the victims. From this mosaic of stories, we aim to highlight the way that Chronicle set up a comprehensive and relevant historical account and, above all, the way in which this genre is capable of preserving the memory of the victims.
