Estudio del rendimiento académico de los alumnos de la Facultad de Odontología de la UNLP

Abstract

Este estudio tiene como objetivo analizar la influencia que tiene en el rendimiento académico de los alumnos que cursan la asignatura Odontología Integral Niños, el nivel de aprendizaje acreditado previamente, es decir, el rendimiento previo de los alumnos medido a través de cuatro diferentes variables: a) el número de asignaturas aprobadas con examen final; b) el promedio de asignaturas aprobadas; c) la cantidad de materias correlativas aprobadas con examen final; d) el promedio de materias correlativas aprobadas con examen final. Se contabilizó la nota promedio obtenida en el Curso I, a los efectos del presente documento. La muestra consta de un total de 273 alumnos, para los cuales se obtuvieron, a partir del certificado analítico, los valores correspondientes a las variables bajo éstudio. Se procedió a procesar e interpretar los datos obtenidos estadísticamente mediante el análisis de regresión simple. Para analizar si el ajuste resulta adecuado a los fines del estudio, se efectuó un test de hipótesis con base en las tablas de ANOVA aplicado al análisis de regresión. El grado de ajuste de la recta de regresión de la muestra a los valores observados se efectuó analizando el coeficiente de determinación R2.

This study has as objective to analyze the influence that has in the academic yield of the students that study the subject Dentistry Integral Children, the learning level credited previously, that is to say, the previous yield of the students measured through four different variables: to) the number of subjects approved with final exam; b) the average of approved subjects; c) the quantity of correlative matters approved with final exam; d) the average of correlative matters approved with final exam The note average was counted obtained in the Course 1, to the effects of the present document. The sample consists of a total of 273 students, for which were obtained, starting from the analytic certificate, the values corresponding to the variables low study. It proceeded to process and to interpret the data obtained statistically by means of the analysis of simple regression. To analyze if the adjustment is appropriate to the ends of the study, a hypothesis test was made with base in the charts of ANOVA applied to the regression analysis. The . grade of adjustment of the regression straight line of the sample to the observed values was made analyzing the coefficient of determination R2.
