Entre lo popular y lo masivo: prácticas y redes socioculturales de fans de Harry Potter en Argentina

Abstract

Este artículo tiene como objetivo presentar nuevas reflexiones en torno al campo de estudio que la autora abordó en su tesina de grado de la carrera de Licenciatura en Sociología (Cuestas, 2014). En ella, se indagó en torno a los vínculos que se tejen entre las y los aficionados a la saga Harry Potter nucleados en un club de fans de la ciudad de Buenos Aires, no sólo con el libro en cuestión sino también entre ellos. Lo que con este trabajo me propongo profundizar es como se actualizan y despliegan ciertas experiencias de los lectores y fans de HP, asumiendo que se vinculan a partir de un producto cultural masivo y los modos en que el mismo es puesto en circulación, apropiado, discutido. Se abordará un mundo cultural que noes homogéneo y que se presenta en una instancia de transformación de sus propios horizontes.

The aim of this article is to present new reflections on the field of study that the author addressed in her undergraduate dissertation on the Bachelor's degree in Sociology. In it, the links between the Harry Potter fans of the Harry Potter saga, who are members of a fan club in the city of Buenos Aires, were explored, not only with the book in question but also with each other. What I intend to delve into with this work is how certain experiences of HP readers and fans are updated and displayed, assuming that they are linked from a massive cultural product and the ways which it is put into circulation, appropriate, discussed. A cultural world which is not homogeneous and which presents itself as an instance of transformation of its own horizons will be addressed.
