Reflexiones en torno al actor griego trágico como sistema significante

Abstract

En este trabajo propongo estudiar al actor griego trágico principalmente a partir de las argumentaciones de Aristóteles en La Poética y La Retórica integrando algunos análisis de pinturas de vasijas. Me centraré especialmente en cómo era concebida la actuación en la época y en la semántica particular de su hacer dentro del espectáculo teatral. Sostengo que debido a la corporalidad que se construye, a partir del vestuario, máscaras y coturnos, potenciada por la pieza trágica que se representa, la relación entre el actor y el personaje que representa podría caracterizarse como un tipo particular de identificación.

This paper proposes an study of the tragic Greek actor mainly from the arguments of Aristotle in Poetics and Rhetoric integrating, also, analysis of some paintings of vases. I will focus especially on how it was conceived at the time -mainly the relationship with the character- and the particular semantics of the actor´s doing. I argue that due to the corporeality that is built, from the costumes, masks and cothurnus and enhanced by the tragic piece that represents the relationship between the actor and the character that represents could be characterized as a particular type of identification.
