¿Qué "género" de Relaciones Internacionales construimos?

Abstract

El presente artículo busca argumentar sobre la importancia de considerar e incluir la perspectiva de género en las investigaciones de los y las internacionalistas. La resistencia —desde nuestra postura, injustificada— de algunos sectores de la academia occidental para incorporar en sus análisis la variable de relaciones de poder entre varones y mujeres, revela de forma evidente la vigencia de la ideología patriarcal que aún impera en los ámbitos de construcción del saber.

This article seeks to argue about the importance of considering and including the gender perspective in the investigations of international relations. The resistance —from an unjustified position— of some sectors of the Western academy to incorporate in its analysis the variable of power relations between men and women clearly reveals the validity of the patriarchal ideology that still prevails in the fields of construction of knowledge.
