La lengua bárbara en "La mayor" de Juan José Saer

Abstract

La conjunción teórica entre la noción de "barbarie" en Walter Benjamin y el concepto de "sustracción" en el filósofo francés Alain Badiou constituye una matriz filosófica que permite revisitar en términos novedosos el vínculo entre narración y experiencia en "La mayor" de Juan José Saer. Este relato explora la posibilidad de conocer lo real vinculado con la memoria y la capacidad del lenguaje para captarlo, especialmente en la intertextualidad que se establece desde el inicio con "En busca del tiempo perdido" de Proust. Desarrollaremos el modo en que aparece la relación entre narración y lenguaje a partir de las categorías de "Experiencia" y "Barbarie" (Walter Benjamin), "Pasión de lo real" y "Sustracción" de Alain Badiou, en contraste con las lecturas que otros autores han llevado a cabo sobre "La mayor".

The theoretical conjunction between the notion of "barbarism" in Walter Benjamin and the concept of "subtraction" in the French philosopher Alain Badiou is a philosophical matrix that allows revisit in novel terms the connection between narrative and experience in "La mayor" by Juan José Saer. This narration explores the possibility of knowing the real related to memory and the capacity of language to capture it, especially in the intertextuality that is set from the start with “In search of lost time” by Marcel Proust. We will develop how the relationship between narrative and language appears based on the categories of "experience" and "barbarism" (Walter Benjamin) "passion of the real" and "subtraction" of Alain Badiou, in contrast to other readings of “La mayor”.
