En inglésRecommendation systems are a resource used in a wide range of media spaces on websites. Its operation has a history in discourses prior to the existence of the Network (in textualities as diverse as menus, newspaper caps, schedules, criticisms, recommendations of friends, etc.) in dense spaces of forwarding to other meaningful spaces or surfaces. Despite their apparent simplicity, the recommendation systems are characterized by a multiple operation involving intermediation and modulations of appreciation. The primary functionality is to connect either “people” with “people”, or “people” with “things”, through two criteria modalities: preferences and recommendations. The preferences are based on variants of anticipation to the user’s criteria, and at the same time promote stimulating and inhibitory actions, due to their strong organizer character of the user’s resources and routes: how to facilitate the user to meet “himself”. For their part, the recommendations tend to encourage the user to open paths that expand their own horizons and resources, so that the recommendation systems assume in these cases encouraging modalities. This mode moves more appreciative that qualifying procedures. Among the multiple recommendation systems, modulations are numerous, and especially since they are used in websites as diverse as news portals, social network sites, music, films or books exchange platforms, gastronomy or tourism sites, etc. And they can be reconstructed as based on operations of meaning that, in their discursive functioning, are ultimately descriptible in enunciative terms. In the case of systems with appreciative base, it is possible to identify formulations that come from different operations of taste judgments, which impregnates from “anthropoid” traces to this kind of mediated speech, not always operated by users.
