¿Igualitaristas, distinguidos o miméticos?

Abstract

En este artículo propongo analizar los diversos modos en que trabajadores de escenografía de un prestigioso teatro de gestión estatal definen y practican su pertenencia a la clase media. A partir de un abordaje etnográfico, describo las imágenes y teorizaciones que estos actores construyen sobre el mundo social, la clase y la desigualdad y cómo, al hacerlo, ponen en tensión un ideal de pertenencia fuertemente arraigado en las capas medias argentinas.

This paper is aimed to analyse the manifold ways of belonging to the middle class practised and defined by scenography workers of one of the most prestigious state theatres in Argentina. Based on an ethnographic approach, I describe the images and theorizations which these agents form about the social world, middle class and inequality, from which they call into question an ideal of belonging deeply rooted in the Argentine middle classes.
