Las salas de chat y el moderador

Abstract

El presente trabajo busca determinar si la figura del moderador en las salas de chat es ineludible para el buen funcionamiento de dichos espacios y cuáles serian los alcances de sus funciones. Se concluye que la necesidad de crear condiciones de posibilidad para las buenas prácticas en Internet y evitar la vulneración de los derechos básicos fundamenta la existencia de los moderadores en las salas de chat.

The present paper aims to determine whether the moderator in chatrooms is necessary for a correct functioning in those virtual spaces and what would be the scope of his/her responsibilities. We conclude that the need to create conditions for best practices on the Internet and avoid violations of basic human rights supports the existence of moderators in chatrooms.
