From an analysis of the data of Adams et al. (1980), it is found that position angles of galaxies in linear cluster are nos-randomly distributed. Ellipticals are preferentially oriented along the cluster axis, S0 tend to be oriented perpendicular, while the distribution of position angles of spirals shows two maxima, one coincident with the position angle of the cluster and other perpendicular to it. These effects are stronger for the densest regions of the cluste and for the brightest galaxies.
