Perfil de los alumnos cursantes de la materia Estadística Aplicada a la Psicología

Abstract

El presente trabajo, correspondiente al primer cuatrimestre del año 2019, es el resultado de un objetivo planteado por la cátedra Estadística Aplicada a la Psicología, que se cursa en el segundo año de la carrera de Psicología de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata. La cátedra realiza con continuidad estos trabajos desde el año 1998. El planteamiento de esta tarea ha tenido desde su inicio un doble propósito. El primero pedagógico, que incluye a la totalidad de los alumnos cursantes de la materia, quienes en forma online, responden a un cuestionario elaborado ad hoc, que permitirá luego, durante el desarrollo de los trabajos prácticos, elaborar el procesamiento de la información relevada y aplicar las técnicas estadísticas pertinentes. El segundo propósito es institucional, intenta contribuir a brindar una mayor información para la Facultad, porque entendemos que el conocimiento del perfil del alumno contribuye a organizar, planificar y tomar decisiones académicas más adecuadas, ya que permitiría caracterizar a los alumnos en etapas tempranas de la carrera.

This work, belonging to the first four-month period of the year 2019, is the result of an objective set by the chair of Statistics Applied to Psychology, which is taken in the second year of the Psychology degree at UNLP. The chair has been carrying out these works continually since 1998. The approach to this task has had a double purpose since its inception. The first, a pedagogical one, which includes all students taking the subject who answer an ad hoc online questionnaire, which later, during the development of practical work, allows developing the processing of relevant information and applying the relevant statistical techniques. The second purpose is institutional, it consist in trying to contribute to provide more information for the School of Psychology, because we understand that the knowledge of the student's profile helps to organize, planning and making more appropriate academic decisions, since it would allow characterizing the students in early stages of the career.
