The energy performance of the building envelope is a key factor in the energy consumption of buildings. This performance undergoes a process of deterioration throughout the life of the building, due to both the aging of the materials and the response of the building systems to the aggressiveness of the external environment. The usual techniques that perform this evaluation are infrared thermography, as a qualitative method of detection of pathologies, in-situ measurements and numerical simulation. The present work describes the evaluation of a bioclimatic building belonging to the National University of La Pampa, a 22 years old building, using infrared thermography and two - dimensional numerical simulation. Although the building did not have rigorous maintenance, no significant pathologies were found in the envelope, which shows that the construction systems properly supported the time course.
