Resumen

A brief review of radioastronomy fundamentals (types of signals and radiotelescopes) is followed by a short description of the results of observations of the HI 21 cm line on galaxies with small angular size, on NGC 4449 and M31, of the continuum in the Magellanic Clouds, and of the CO lines on southern nearby galaxies.
