HI observations towards an intermediate-velocity cloud in Carina (IVC288.5+1.0-42) are reported. IVC288.5+1.0-42 is projected in the sky near the great Carina Nebula and Car OB2, at (l,b,Vₗₛᵣ)=(288.5̣°,+1.0°,-42 km s⁻¹). Some global parameters are given, such as size, mass (depending on the distance) and internal kinematics. Finally, a brief discussion about the possible connection of IVC288.5+1.0-42 with Car OB", a CO cloud and a HI expanding shell is presented.
