El presente trabajo tiene como finalidad desarrollar el concepto de cuerpo desde el psicoanálisis, mediante la construcción teórica del mismo privilegiando dos autores: Sigmund Freud y Jacques Lacan. A través de un recorrido histórico por la medicina, la psiquiatría y la psicología, se puntualizan las diferencias y similitudes entre éstas y el psicoanálisis. Se desarrolla la noción de cuerpo desde los tres registros de la experiencia psicoanalítica: lo Real, lo Simbólico y lo Imaginario. En dichas coordenadas se comprueba que la idea de cuerpo se convierte en una cuestión relevante para el psicoanálisis.

The purpose of this paper is to develop the concept of body from psychoanalysis, through its theoretical construction, favoring two authors: Sigmund Freud and Jacques Lacan. Through a historical journey through medicine, psychiatry and psychology, the differences and similarities between these and psychoanalysis are pointed out. The notion of body is developed from the three registers of the psychoanalytic experience: the Real, the Symbolic and the Imaginary. In these coordinates it is verified that the idea of the body becomes a question of psychoanalysis.
