El Shincal de Quimivil ha sido definido como una capital regional de wamani o Provincia Inca y como un centro ceremonial, donde se produjeron y reprodujeron las prácticas políticas, sociales, religiosas y económicas impartidas por el incario. Muchas de estas prácticas se realizaron en el ushnu, estructura definida por los diferentes autores como “altar”, “teatro” y “escenario”.
En el presente trabajo se analiza el caso del ushnu de El Shincal de Quimivil, por considerar que se trata de una de las estructuras más emblemáticas presentes en el sitio. Para ello se realizó una recopilación y revisión bibliográfica y material de todos los elementos obtenidos en las excavaciones, llevadas a cabo en los diferentes sectores del mismo, haciendo hincapié en el ítem cerámico. Se obtuvo así una síntesis articulada de los hallazgos, tanto para el momento Inca como para el Colonial, permitiéndonos tener una visión integral de los mismos.

El Shincal de Quimivil has been defined as a regional capital of wamani or Province Inca and as a ceremonial center where they were produced and reproduced, social, religious and economic policies practices taught by the Incas. Many of these practices were performed in the ushnu, defined by different authors as “altar”, “theater” and “stage” structure.
In this paper the case of the ushnu of El Shincal de Quimivil is analyzed, considering that this is one of the most iconic structures on the site. To do a compilation and review of the literature and all material elements obtained in the excavations carried out in different sectors of the same, emphasizing the ceramic item was made. An articulated synthesis of findings for both the Inca times to the Colonial, was thus obtained allowing a comprehensive view of them.
