Elaboración de resúmenes y comprensión de textos por parte de estudiantes de Odontología

Abstract

Nos proponemos que los estudiantes mejoren la comprensión del texto ejecutando resúmenes. En la asignatura Fisiología de la FOLP, se solicita a 50 estudiantes, que escriban un resumen sobre Deglución , a partir del libro Fisiología Oral (R. Bradley), aplicando cuatro macroreglas: A) supresión) selección, C) generalización simple y D) construcción - integración. A) supresión, puede no concretarse por dos situaciones:copia textual o elaboración. B) Seleccionar implica darles relevancia a algunos párrafos y consecuentemente plasmarlos en el resumen y, suprimir otros) C) generalización simple (es común a casi todos los resúmenes). D) Para comprobar si existe integración se considera imprescindible hacer referencia al control nervioso de la deglución. Los resultados están categorizados según el cumplimiento o no de las cuatro macroreglas. Así encontramos: A) 31 realizaron supresión, (porque 9 elaboraron el tema). B) 39 seleccionaron trozos del texto. C) 47 generalizaron el texto. D) 23 ejecutaron la integración - construcción. Las cuatro macroreglas fueron observadas por 11 estudiantes. En este trabajo de investigación, se cuantificó la aplicación de cuatro macroreglas para producir un resumen. La más utilizada es la generalización, seguida por la selección. Los estudiantes que observaron las cuatro macroreglas fueron 11. Es de destacar que, de este grupo, 8 elaboraron el texto.

The objective is that students improve the comprehension of the text by executing summaries. In the Physiology subject of the FOLP, 50 students are asked to write a summary on "Swallowing", from the book Oral Physiology (R. Bradley), applying four macro-rules: A) suppression, B) selection, C) generalization simple and D) construction - integration. A) deletion, it may not materialize due to two situations: verbatim copy or elaboration. B) Selecting implies giving relevance to some paragraphs and consequently embodying them in the summary and deleting others) C) simple generalization (it is common to almost all abstracts). D) To check if there is integration, it is considered essential to refer to the nervous control of swallowing. The results are categorized according to compliance or not with the four macro-rules. Thus, we find: A) 31 performed deletion, (because 9 elaborated the topic). B) 39 selected pieces of the text. C) 47 generalized the text. D) 23 executed the integration - construction. The four macrorules were observed by 11 students. In this research work, the application of four macro-rules was quantified to produce a summary. The most used is generalization, followed by selection. There were 11 students who observed the four macro-rules. It is noteworthy that 8 of this group prepared the text.
