Capital social y turismo de base comunitaria: actualización del estado de la cuestión y aplicación a productores agroecológicos de Chapadmalal (prov. de Buenos Aires)

Abstract

El estudio de la relación existente entre el capital social y el turismo ha sido abordado desde diferentes perspectivas y contextos temporo-espaciales. Específicamente, en su relación con el turismo de base comunitaria, la existencia de un capital social fuerte que sirva de infraestructura para la red comunitaria permite el correcto desarrollo de este tipo de turismo. Por tal motivo, la presente ponencia aproxima un estado de la cuestión actualizado al respecto a partir de un análisis de diez producciones científicas, teniendo en cuenta la identificación de aspectos contextuales y el análisis de contenido cualitativo. Se desprende de la literatura abordada que el capital social fuerte -que aglutina y a la vez que tiende puentes- así como también las normas, creencias y valores que incorporen aspectos de confianza, reciprocidad y cooperación, favorecerán el desarrollo del turismo de base comunitaria. Asimismo, se presenta una investigación en curso que busca analizar el capital social cognitivo y estructural de productores agroecológicos de Chapadmalal (Provincia de Buenos Aires) para conocer condiciones socioculturales de desarrollo de propuestas de turismo de base comunitaria.

The study of the relationship between social capital and tourism has been approached from different perspectives and temporal-spatial contexts. Specifically, in relation to community-based tourism, the existence of a strong social capital that serves as infrastructure for the community network allows the proper development of this type of tourism. For this reason, this paper presents an updated state of the art on the subject based on an analysis of ten scientific productions, taking into account the identification of contextual aspects and qualitative content analysis. It emerges from the literature that strong social capital -which brings people together and builds bridges- as well as norms, beliefs and values that incorporate aspects of trust, reciprocity and cooperation, will favor the development of community-based tourism. In addition, an ongoing research is presented that seeks to analyze the cognitive and structural social capital of agroecological producers in Chapadmalal (Province of Buenos Aires) in order to learn about the socio-cultural conditions for the development of community-based tourism proposals.
