El capulí, su comportamiento en la provincia de Buenos Aires

Abstract

Con materil proveniente del Perú, en el año 1962 se inician, en la Provincia de Buenos Aires, varios ensayos de comportamiento del "capulí". Prunus serotina var. salicifolia (Kunth) Koehne, especie americana de la familia de las Rosáceas. Luego de algunas consideraciones de orden pomológico y de estudiar el material mediante pruebas de laboratorio y campo, se informa sobre los resultados obtenidos a través de los 5 años de crianza en varias localidades bonaerenses. Su destacan sus condiciones de rusticidad, notable crecimiento y abundante fructificación.

With material coming from Perú, have been performed in the Province of Buenos Aires (Argentine), since the year- 1962, some trials on the behaviour of the "capulí", Prunus serotina var. salicifolia (Knuth) Koehne, American species of the Rosaceous family. After some considerations from the pomological point of view and the studies carried out by means of laboratory essays and in the field, the results obtained during the five years of cultivation in some localities of the Province of Buenos Aires are the following : have been observed its conditions of rusticity, remarkable growing and abundant fructification.
