La noble ultimación de la bestia: cuatro notas alrededor de un paisaje fuera de sí

Abstract

El presente trabajo analiza la exhibición La noble ultimación de la bestia (2017). Esta fue creada por el dúo pampeano Moho in tegrado por Agustina Arrarás y Nicolás Onischuk y se presentó en el Museo Provin cial de Artes de la Provincia de La Pampa, Argentina. La misma aborda críticamente parte de la historia del territorio pampeano utilizando los archivos alrededor del primer coto de caza fundado a principios del siglo xx. La exhibición, a partir de un montaje que incluye distintos soportes, entremezcla do cumentos reales y ficcionalizados para crear una narración fragmentaria alrededor del paisaje pampeano. Este ejercicio les permite a los artistas crear nuevos imaginarios so bre dicho territorio y también construir una memoria reflexiva. De este modo se ponen en cuestión parte de los discursos históricos oficiales sobre esta singular geografía.

This paper analyzes the exhibition La no ble ultimación de la bestia (2017). This was created by the Pampean duo Moho, compo sed of Agustina Arrarás and Nicolás Onis chuk, and was presented at the Museo Pro vincial de Artes de la Provincia de La Pampa, Argentina. The exhibition deals with a cri tical approach to part of the history of the Pampean territory using the archives around the first hunting reserve founded at the be ginning of the 20th century. The exhibition, through a montage that includes different media, intermingles real and fictionalized documents to create a fragmentary narrative around the Pampean landscape. This exer cise allows the artists to create new imagi naries about the territory and also to build a reflexive memory. In this way they question part of the official historical discourses about this singular geography.
