Perspectivas auditivas del México profundo

Abstract

La dimensión política de las prácticas musicales es un campo primordial de reflexión y discusión dentro y fuera de la academia, tema impostergable en el ámbito de la educación musical y artística. Para ello se requiere de un horizonte interdisciplinar amplio que permita hurgar en los diferentes niveles de articulación de dichas prácticas musicales. El presente texto florece con el interés de subrayar la relevancia del espacio político de la dimensión auditiva, en tanto parte significativa de toda práctica musical, en la transformación de la sociedad y del mundo. En este caso, se abordan las perspectivas auditivas del México profundo con la finalidad de mostrar cómo, a través de la dimensión sonora y la escucha misma, se da continuidad y presencia a las culturas matriciales de México vinculadas fuertemente con los entornos de vida.

The political dimension of musical practices is an essential field of reflection and discussion within and beyond the academy, an issue that cannot be postponed in the field of music and arts education. This requires a broad interdisciplinary horizon that allows us to delve into the different levels of articulation of these musical practices. The present text flourishes with the interest of underlining the relevance of the political space of the auditory dimension, as a significant part of any musical practice, in the transformation of society and the world. In this case, the auditory perspectives of deep Mexico are approached with the aim of showing how, through the sonic dimension and listening itself, continuity and presence are given to the matrix cultures of Mexico, strongly linked to the environments of life.
