Circulación, análisis y producción de conocimientos durante la primera mitad del siglo XIX en Buenos Aires

Abstract

El presente artículo se inscribe dentro de los enfoques derivados de la historia cultural, en particular de la historia de la lectura, de los lectores y de los intelectuales. Se ubica, además, dentro de los estudios que tratan la circulación de los bienes tanto materiales como simbólicos a través del atlántico, entre los siglos XVI y XIX. A partir de la figura de Felipe Senillosa, se muestra una de las maneras en las que los libros y el conocimiento entró al Río de la Plata, la forma en que se leyeron esos materiales y lo que produjo en el contexto histórico posterior a la revolución de mayo hasta mediados del siglo XIX en Buenos Aires.

This article is part of the approaches derived from cultural history, particularly the history of reading, readers and intellectuals. It is also located within the studies that deal with the circulation of both material and symbolic goods across the Atlantic, between the 16th and 19th centuries. Starting from the figure of Felipe Senillosa, it shows one of the ways in which books and knowledge entered the Río de la Plata, the way in which these materials were read and what it produced in the historical context after the revolution. from May until the middle of the 19th century in Buenos Aires.
