El Primer Centenario de la Revolución de Mayo

Abstract

La Argentina de los primeros años del siglo XX es un período que ha sido y es debatido. Recientemente se han acentuado con singular dureza las críticas a nuestro Centenario. El objetivo de este trabajo es recordar que, si bien ese momento de nuestra Historia es merecedor de muchas objeciones -como ocurre con todo hecho histórico- la Argentina de esa época pudo mostrar grandes virtudes, que fueron mundialmente reconocidas. En otros términos, este trabajo procurará salvaguardar un capítulo del patrimonio espiritual de la Nación. El análisis ubicará a la Argentina en lo institucional, económico, social, cultural e internacional en el mundo de comienzos del siglo XX, por entender que los hechos históricos deben ser analizados en el contexto de su tiempo, y que es un gran error prescindir del mismo y pretender juzgar acontecimientos con la perspectiva de otra época. Se examinarán los cuestionamientos, y se comparará el lugar que tenía la Argentina en el concierto de las naciones en los primeros años del siglo XX con el que ocupa un siglo más tarde.

Argentina in the early years of the twentieth century is a period that has been and is discussed. Have recently been harshly accented with singular critical to our Centenary. The aim of this work is to remember that while this moment of our history is worthy of many objections, as happens with all the historical fact that time Argentina was able to show great virtues, which were universally recognized. In other words, this work will strive to safeguard a chapter of the spiritual patrimony of the Nation. The analysis placed Argentina in the institutional, economic, social, cultural and international in the world of early twentieth century, to understand that historical facts should be analyzed in the context of his time, and that is a big mistake to dispense with the same and pretend to judge events from the perspective of another age. Questions will be examined, and compared the place that Argentina had in the concert of nations in the early twentieth century, which occupies a century later.
