Desafios da comunicação popular e comunitária na cibercultur@: aproximação à proposta de Comunidade Emergente de Conhecimento Local

Abstract

Este trabajo es un estudio sobre la concepción de cibercultur@ que indaga acerca de si ésta ayudaría a los movimientos comunitarios en la redefinición de prácticas comunicativas incluyendo el empoderamiento colectivo de las TICCS. Los objetivos son identificar los principales presupuestos teóricos de la cibercultur@ en el marco de las dinámicas de reestructuración comunicacional de la sociedad contemporánea, situar el tema de la presencia de la comunicación popular, comunitaria y alternativa en el ciberespacio y analizar si es pertinenente relacionar los conceptos de cibercultur@ con su aplicabilidad a los estudios y prácticas de esa modalidad comunicacional en Brasil. El estudio surge de la investigación bibliográfica y documental.

Study on the conception of cybercultur@, which investigates if it would help community movements in redefining communication practices including the collective empowerment of information, communication -and knowledge- technologies. The objectives are to identify the main theoretical assumptions of cybercultur@ in the mark of dynamic restructuring of communication in contemporary society, to place the issue of the presence of popular communication, and alternative community in cyberspace, and to examine whether there is relevance to relate the concepts of cybercultur@ and its applicability to the study and practice of this type of communication in Brazil. The approach is based on theoretical and methodological principles of historical and dialectical materialism. The procedures presented in this study are part of the bibliographic and documental research.
