Este artículo trabaja sobre las representaciones televisivas contemporáneas de los usuarios de drogas. Su estudio implicó analizar no sólo los imaginarios que construye la televisión en torno de la diversidad de usuarios, sino también las operaciones de captura y los mecanismos simbólicos que emplea para culturalizar el conflicto (Grimson, 2007). En esta oportunidad, nos centraremos en la construcción de los escenarios y los territorios donde la televisión localiza y emplaza a los usuarios, a partir del sesgo de clase.

This article works on contemporary television representations of drugs’ users. This study has implied to analyze not only the imaginary that television constructs around the users’ diversity, but also the operations of apprehension and the symbolic mechanisms used by television for culturalizing the social conflict (Grimson, 2007). In this opportunity we will focus on the construction of the scenes and the territories where television locates drugs’ users regarding social class.
