Efecto de la GnRH administrada en la IATF a vaquillonas sin celo sobre el porcentaje de preñez

Abstract

Se utilizaron 367 vaquillonas Angus (15 meses: 184, 18 meses: 101 y 27 meses: 81) para evaluar el efecto de administrar GnRH en la IATF a vaquillonas que no manifestaron celo sobre el porcentaje de preñez. El día 0, se colocó un dispositivo intravaginal con 0,558 g de progesterona y 2 mg de benzoato de estradiol, intramuscular. El día 8 se retiró el DISP y se administró 0,150 mg de D-Cloprostenol y 1 mg de cipionato de estradiol. Los animales fueron pintados en la base de la cola y parte de la grupa, considerando celo a un porcentaje de despintado ≥ 30%. Los animales sin celo se dividieron para recibir o no 0,105 mg de acetato de Buserelina (Pintadas+GnRH y Pintadas-GnRH, respectivamente). El día 10 se realizó IATF y a los 39 días posteriores, el diagnóstico de gestación. El grupo Pintada-GnRH se preñó en menor proporción (42,2% vs 66,7% y 52,5%; Pintadas-GnRH, Pintadas+GnRH y Despintadas, respectivamente, P<0,05). Se concluye que los animales que no manifiestan celo hasta la IATF se preñan menos que aquellos que si lo hacen, revirtiendo esta situación al administrar GnRH en dicho momento.

We used 367 Angus heifers (15 months: 184, 18 months: 101 and 27 months: 81) to evaluate the effect of injected GnRH at TAI heifers showed no estrus on the pregnancy rate. On day 0, heifers received progesterone intravaginal device (IVD) plus estradiol benzoate. On day 8, IVD was removed and injected D-Cloprostenol and estradiol cypionate. Heifers were painted on the base of the tail and part of the rump. On day 10, heifers with ≥ 30 % rubbed off were considered to be in oestrus. In these moment, heifers not showing estrus were randomized to receive or not 0.105 mg Buserelin acetate (Painted+GnRH and Painted- GnRH, respectively). On this day was TAI, beginning estrous heifers (Group estrus). Pregnancy diagnosis was done at 39 days after TAI. Pregnancy rate was lower in heifers did not show estrus and no received GnRH (42.2%) compared to others groups (Painted + GnRH: 66.7% and estrous: 52.5%, P<0.05). In summary, heifers did not show estrus have lower pregnancy rate after TAI compared to heifers in estrous; these situation reverses with GnRH injection at TAI.
