Entre usos, disputas y complejidades: el transterritorio de las Misiones Jesuíticas guaraníes (Brasil, Argentina y Paraguay)

Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo principal analizar críticamente el uso turístico del patrimonio jesuítico guaraní compartido por Brasil, Argentina y Paraguay. Ello incluye reflexionar y caracterizar el proceso de desarrollo turístico que se da en el mismo. Desde un marco de complejidad se ponen de manifiesto historias disputadas, identidades múltiples y cambiantes, actoralidad con poderes desiguales, modelos de acumulación en disputa y procesos de reterritorialización. En este sentido, y a los efectos de aproximar a un enfoque amplio y multidimensional, se propone la noción de transterritorio en la medida que el área tiene continuidades en términos de procesos históricos, relaciones sociales y modelos de acumulación pero, al mismo tiempo, diferenciaciones propias de las demarcaciones espaciales propias de los tres Estados. Ello implica adentrarse a uno de los polos más dinámicos del Mercosur, con sitios que poseen el máximo reconocimiento internacional en lo referido a Patrimonio Mundial pero con contradicciones y conflictividades que coexisten.

The main objective of this work is to critically analyze the tourist use of the Jesuit Guarani heritage shared by Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. This includes reflecting and characterizing the process of tourism development that occurs in it. From a framework of complexity comprise disputed histories, multiple and changing identities, actors with unequal powers, models of accumulation in dispute and processes of reterritorialization become evident. In this sense, and in order to approach a broad and multidimensional focus, the notion of transterritorial is proposed to show the continuities in terms of historical processes, social relations and accumulation models, but at the same time, differentiations proper to the three states. This implies entering one of the most dynamic poles of Mercosur, with sites that have the highest international recognition as World Heritage, but at the same time contradictions and conflicts that coexist.
