A infraestrutura dos laboratorios de informática e a viabilidade com software educativos gratuitos de matemática: survey em escolas públicas

Abstract

Devido ao constante avanço tecnológico, faz-se necessário uma reflexão sobre as condições em que se encontram as escolas para a inclusão destes recursos em práticas docentes, particularmente em relação ao ensino de Matemática. O objetivo deste trabalho foi verificar a infraestrutura dos laboratórios de informática em escolas públicas e a viabilidade técnica com software educativos gratuitos para o ensino de Matemática. A pesquisa teve caráter descritivo e foi realizada em escolas públicas da rede municipal de ensino fundamental II em Uberlândia, sudeste do Brasil. No total foram 20 escolas, totalizando 23 laboratórios de informática. Foram realizadas visitas aos laboratórios de informática e analisados aspectos técnicos, físicos, ergonômicos e de segurança Os resultados mostram uma infraestrutura satisfatória com aspectos técnicos, físicos e de segurança favoráveis ao desenvolvimento de práticas docentes de matemática. O ponto crítico está nos aspectos ergonômicos do mobiliário presente nos laboratórios. Quanto à viabilidade técnica, os recursos computacionais dos laboratórios às exigências mínimas necessárias para a utilização dos software gratuitos de matemática disponíveis no catálogo online Web-Math.

Due to the constant technological advance, it is necessary to reflect about the conditions that the schools find for the inclusion of these resources in teaching practices, particularly in relation to the teaching of Mathematics. The objective of this work was to verify the infrastructure of computer labs in public schools and the technical feasibility with free educational software for the teaching of Mathematics. The research had a descriptive character and was performed in public schools of the municipal elementary school in Uberlândia, southeastern Brazil. In total 20 schools, totaling 23 computer labs. Visits were made to the laboratory and analyzed technical, physical, ergonomic and safety aspects. The results showed a satisfactory infrastructure with technical, physical and security aspects favorable to the development of mathematical teaching practices. The critical point lies in the ergonomic aspects of the furniture present in the laboratories. As for the technical viability, the computational resources of the laboratories meet the minimum requirements necessary to use the free math software available in the online catalog Web-Math.
