La infancia institucionalizada: un terreno de disputa de discursos

Abstract

Este trabajo forma parte del desarrollo de la Beca de Estímulo a la Vocación Científica (CIN) y aborda el campo de las infancias institucionalizadas desde los discursos que circulan en torno a las mismas. Consiste en un estudio de caso en una Organización No Gubernamental (ONG) de La Plata que funciona como hogar convivencial. Los hogares convivenciales son parte del Sistema de Promoción y Protección de los Derechos de los/as niños/as y adolescentes. En dicha institución se realizaron observaciones y entrevistas a sus trabajadores para relevar cómo significan a los/as niños/as. Determinados discursos reproducen la vulnerabilidad infantil sosteniendo ideas del paradigma tutelar, pensándolos como objetos incompletos a completar y que, incluso, deben completar a los adultos en forma de agradecimiento. En cambio, el discurso de la psicóloga del Hogar visibiliza a los/as niños/as como sujetos de derechos. Cómo se piensa a la infancia configura maneras de hacer con y para ella. La visibilización y deconstrucción de discursos que se reproducen en hogares convivenciales forma parte del proceso de construcción de estrategias para la restitución de los derechos de los/as niños/as. Los/as psicólogos/as puede promover la construcción de nuevos pensables acerca de los/as niños/as en dirección de promover otras prácticas institucionales.

This work is part of the development of the Stimulus Scholarship to the Scientific Vocation (CIN) and addresses the field of institutionalized childhoods from the discourses that circulate around them. It consists of a case study in an NGO in La Plata that works as a coexistence home. Cohabiting homes are part of the System for the Promotion and Protection of the Rights of Children and Adolescents. The visualization and deconstruction of discourses that are reproduced in coexistent homes is part of the process of constructing strategies for the restitution of the rights of children. Psychologists can promote the construction of new thinkables about children in the direction of promoting other institutional practices.
