Hola a la estética, o ¿qué puede decir la psicología a partir de la “crisis del arte contemporáneo”?

Abstract

Nuestra presentación estará organizada en tres partes. En la primera de ellas se introducirá la crisis del arte contemporáneo y la consecuente tendencia de la estética francesa a la interdisciplina. En la segunda parte, se recuperarán algunos antecedentes y contrapuntos de la discusión acerca de la (no)pertinencia y (des)legitimidad de la psicología y de sus aportes para con la estética filosófica, haciendo mención a algunos aportes como los de Gustav Fechner o Rudolph Arnheim, brindando un mayor desarrollo a la discusión habida entre Schaeffer y George Dickie. Y en la tercera parte se esbozará la argumentación referida, objetivo de esta presentación. Se esgrimirá recuperando lo anterior que: La crisis del arte contemporáneo ha contribuido a bajar a la filosofía –otrora especulativa- de su viejo pedestal para dialogar con la psicología.

Our presentation will be organized in three parts. The first of them introduces the “crisis of contemporary art” and the consequent trend of French Aesthetics to interdiscipline. In the second part, some antecedents and counterpoints will be retrieved from the discussion about the (non) relevance and (dis) legitimacy of Psychology and its contributions to Aesthetics, by mentioning some contributions to the topic such as Gustav Fechner´s or Rudolph Arnheim´s, and by a further attention to the discussion between Schaeffer and George Dickie. And the third part will outline the argument already mentioned, purpose of this presentation: That the crisis of contemporary art has contributed to overthrowing the – once speculative- philosophy of his old pedestal to dialogue with psychology.
