Tres fotógrafos latinoamericanos y la imagen del padre

Abstract

El presente ensayo analiza la representación del padre en la producción editorial de tres fotógrafos latinoamericanos: el mexicano Gilberto Chen, el brasileño Gilván Barreto y la argentina Mariela Sancari. Con base en el planteamiento de que la imagen paterna se construye a partir de los afectos del propio fotógrafo, el análisis de las imágenes se articula con el estudio del afecto propuesto por Baruch Spinoza y por Roland Barthes.

The present essay analyzes the representation of the father in the editorial production of three Latin American photographers, the Mexican Gilberto Chen, the Brazilian Gilván Barreto and the Argentine Mariela Sancari. Based on the idea that the paternal image is constructed from the photographer’s own affections, the analysis of the images is articulated with the study of the affection proposed by Baruch Spinoza and Roland Barthes.
