Homenaje a Mons. Dr. Gustavo Eloy Ponferrada

Abstract

El 9 de febrero del corriente año falleció a los 97 años Mons. Dr. Gustavo Eloy Ponferrada. En memoria y agradecimiento por sus muchos años de fecunda docencia en el Seminario publicamos el presente trabajo, dirigido por el mismo Padre Ponferrada en el año 2005, inédito hasta el momento. En el mismo, se hace referencia a la relación entre la filosofía cristiana y la teoría de los valores a partir de un texto de Karol Wojtyla, iluminando también el tema con otros autores del siglo XX y la postura propia del Padre Ponferrada.

Msgr. Gustavo Eloy Ponferrada PhD taught in Saint Joseph Seminary until his death, on February 9th 2019. This paper was written in 2005 and was directed by him. In this work, we study the relationship between axiology and Christian Philosophy. First, we show the view of Karol Wojtyla from his <i>An Attempt to Develop a Christian Ethics Based on Max Scheler's System</i>. Second, we study the statements of other Christian philosophers and we show Fr. Ponferrada’s position.
