Enseñanza de la Odontología: estudio sobre formación y prácticas docentes

Abstract

En este trabajo se dan a conocer los resultados parciales de una investigación-acción en desarrollo, cuyos objetivos son indagar y analizar las experiencias de formación docente interna y continua de profesores/as y adscriptos/as de la Facultad de Odontología de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata con el fin de identificar si las mismas constituyeron un aporte positivo a sus prácticas docentes para posibles modificaciones de las mismas. Asimismo, pretende rastrear las acciones y/o propuestas educativas implementadas luego de iniciar la formación docente. La metodología utilizada combina análisis cualitativos y cuantitativos con preeminencia de los primeros. Se administró una encuesta semiestructurada a 29 docentes y adscriptos/as y en este momento se están realizando entrevistas a una parte de los/as encuestados/as. Los resultados parciales indican que los temas ponderados como más significativos para sus prácticas docentes son los referidos a las ciencias sociales, las estrategias didácticas y la incorporación de TIC a la enseñanza. Las cuestiones vinculares entre pares, así como docentes-estudiantes constituyen uno de los principales aspectos que los/as profesores desean profundizar. Con los datos obtenidos del análisis de las entrevistas se pretende complejizarlas lecturas de los resultados hallados.

In this work we present the partial results of a research-action in development, whose objectives are to investigate and analyze the internal and continuous teacher training experiences of professors and assignees of the Faculty of Odontology of the National University of La Plata in order to Identify If they constituted a positive contribution to their teaching practices for possible modifications of the same. It also alms to track the actions and/or educational proposals implemented after starting teacher training. The methodology used combines qualitative and quantitative analysis with pre-eminence of the former. A semi-structured survey was administered to 29 teachers and assignees and at this moment Interviews are being conducted with a part of the respondents. The partial results Indicate that the subjects weighted as the most significant for their teaching practices are those related to social sciences, didactic strategies and the Incorporation of ICT to teaching. Peer-to-peer issues as well as teacher-students are one of the main aspects that teachers want to deepen. With the data obtained from the analysis of the Interviews, it is Intended to make the readings of the results found more complex.
