En este trabajo se aborda experimentalmente la posibilidad de un aumento en el rendimiento y una mejora en la producción de destiladores solares al asistirlos con sistemas solares auxiliares de precalentamiento del agua de la batea. Se muestran detalles de construcción y primeros resultados obtenidos en la Universidad Nacional de Río Cuarto. Los equipos de destilación son similares a los construidos en la Universidad de San Luis, con mejoras en las aislaciones térmicas de la batea, además se incorporaron superficies selectivas a los mismos. Se construyeron tres destiladores solares, en los que el conjunto batea-cubierta fueron idénticos. Se evaluaron durante 5 meses los comportamientos de éstos para compararlos, obteniéndose producciones que llegaron casi a quintuplicar el producido por el destilador básico, mostrando que los objetivos fueron logrados. This paper shows experimental developments on solar stills, which were made to improve their efficiencies and increase their productivity. The developments were based on the assistance of the basins by means of auxiliary solar heaters. Constructive details are shown and results are presented. These equipments, built in the National University of Rio Cuarto, are similar to other systems built in the National University of San Luis, but the basin thermal insulations were augmented and selective surfaces were added. Three different equipments were mounted, which have the same basic basincover system, but two of them are assisted by solar heaters. The performances of these equipments were evaluated during five months in order to make comparisons. These comparisons showed that the assisted stills can produce almost five times more distilled water than the basic system, which means that the objectives of the project were achieved. The results are presented and shown in tables.
