Ulteriori osservazioni comparative sul ciclo sessuale annuo delle rane rosse o temporarie d’Europa
Abstract
Le condizioni isto-topografiche del testicolo di Rana arvalis nel periodo invernale e i loro rapporti con la fase di stasi spermatogenetica del ciclo pituito-genitale.
On the histological ground conditions of hibernating gonads of Rana arvalis male correspond to the morphological structure prevised for this form, that I related in a precedent paper to the european wood-frogs phylum which has ereditary endocrinous regulation of spermatogenesis. The interstitial tissue is in this specimens widely developped and his increase van be compared with the wide-spread of their secundary sex characters (mating season).
